The First Show The big day had finally arrived after nearly ten months of preparation. It was the day of my very first dance recital! I had practiced my routine in dance class and at home constantly with the watchful eye of my mother helping me. My costume was ready and so was I. I woke up to my Mother gently waking me up reminding me that today was a very important day. I then jumped up out of bed remembering that today was my very first dance recital. â€Å"Yay, it’s finally here!† I screamed, jumping up and down on my bed. My little brother was already awake so I didn’t have any fear of waking him up from his slumber. I could already smell the breakfast that my Mom and Dad were making me in the kitchen. I climbed down off of my bed and walked to the kitchen where my Dad was making pancakes, my favorite breakfast food, and my Mom had my little brother Brad on her hip. â€Å"Good Morning Daddy,† I chimed running over to my Dad and giving him a hug. â€Å"Good Morning Princess,† he responded while smiling. I went over to our dining room table and sat at the already set table. My Dad then brought over my pancake and I could already smell the chocolate chips he put in it. I began to eat my pancakes while my Mom feed my brother and my Dad ate his pancakes too. After finishing my delicious breakfast, I went to my room to get dressed for the day. I pulled on a pair of jean shorts and then put on my recital shirt with my name and my studio’s name on it.
